Med Supply US is a medical supply company that provides diabetic supplies to patients and doctors offices. We are looking for a full-time Intake Specialist to join our team.Position Overview:As a Medical Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the intake process for patients seeking medical services. You will be responsible for gathering essential information from patients, verifying their insurance coverage, and ensuring that all necessary documentation is completed accurately and efficiently. Your attention to detail, strong communication skills, and ability to provide compassionate assistance will contribute to the smooth operation of our healthcare facility.Responsibilities:
  • Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and welcoming manner.
  • Collect patient information, including personal details, medical history, and insurance coverage, using electronic medical record systems or paper forms.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and coverage details, including copayments, deductibles, and any pre-authorizations required for services.
  • Explain financial responsibilities to patients and assist them in understanding insurance benefits and billing procedures.
  • Coordinate appointments and referrals for patients with various healthcare providers or departments within the facility.
  • Ensure all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines at all times.
  • Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries from patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, nurses, and administrative staff, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling appointments, filing documents, and processing referrals.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • Prior experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in patient intake or registration.
  • Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems and other healthcare software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing processes, and regulatory requirements.
