My client larger general contractor based in Waukesha is seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Senior Construction Project Manager to lead retail construction projects across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex projects and teams, and will be responsible for ensuring that each project is completed within budget, on time, and to the satisfaction of our clients.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the planning, design, construction, and close-out of retail construction projects across multiple locations.
  • Develop and manage project budgets and schedules, ensuring that all project milestones are met.
  • Manage a team of project managers, contractors, architects, engineers, and other construction professionals.
  • Conduct regular site visits and inspections to ensure that the project is progressing according to plan.
  • Identify and manage potential project risks, developing contingency plans as needed.
  • Communicate regularly with project stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and internal team members, providing updates on project status and addressing any concerns.
  • Ensure that all project work complies with applicable codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Oversee the procurement and delivery of construction materials and equipment across multiple locations.
  • Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure that all work meets our high standards.
  • Mentor and coach junior project managers and construction professionals as needed.

  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction project management, with a focus on retail projects.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience managing remote teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience working with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of construction industry codes, regulations, and standards.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • Ability to travel as needed. (max. 1-2 days a month)
