Lurie Children's Hospital of ChicagoJob Description 1. Education: High school diploma required or GED equivalent required. Completion of two years of college with at least one general mathematics course preferred. 2. One year of hospital or home infusion pharmacy experience required and a minimum of six months of Lurie Childrens cleanroom experience, and three months of chemotherapy experience with leadership assessment of competency. 3. Licensed as Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Illinois. Certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB). 4. 1 year work requires good aseptic technique and strong mathematical skills in order to perform calculations, make dilutions and maintain records. Must have data entry skills or ability to learn computer data entry. 5. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to function within the team concept and interact with tact and courtesy with all hospital employees and customers. 6. Must be able to follow instructions accurately and be capable of following well organized work routine. 7. Must successfully complete an annual validation of aseptic techniques and cytotoxic agent handling, including handling of multiple-dispensed sterile bulk products. 8. Must be able to read, write and speak English. 9. Must have computer data entry skills or ability to learn computer data entry. 10. Must have good manual dexterity. Must be able to differentiate colors. Must be able to lift at least 10 pounds. 11.
