  • Collaborating and communicating with internal and external stakeholders to understand and meet procurement requirements.
  • Leading and managing strategic sourcing events in support of strategic and cost savings targets and initiatives.
  • Supporting procurement operations by reviewing requisitions and placing purchase orders for various commodities in support of business requirements across the company.
  • Performing data analysis related to items such as supplier spend/TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), market drivers and inventory management.
  • Supporting Supply Chain Management 3P (Processes, Policies and Procedures) initiatives.
  • Managing and supporting projects that provide exposure to various aspects of Supply Chain's collaboration with all areas of the enterprise, including Generation, Transmission and Distribution and Corporate business units.
This paid, temporary full-time internship spans 10 weeks during the summer. Interns receive mentorship, professional development, opportunities for site visits, networking, and more.Minimum Requirements
  • Actively enrolled in an accredited college or university undergraduate degree program.
  • Must show ongoing achievement in areas of study and training.
Preferred Qualifications, Skills or Knowledge:
  • 3.0 GPA or higher.
  • Microsoft 365 Proficiency (Excel, PowerBI, Teams).
  • Strong digital mindset with the ability to leverage technology and automation tools.
  • Innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with data analytics and the ability to interpret and utilize data for decision-making.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

This position is not required to be performed at a specific APS facility as long as adequate technology and a solid ergonomic set up are present. Pending agreement with leadership, employees hired into this role will be able to choose where they prefer to perform their work, but the ultimate decision is the company's. Employees will have two options to choose from:
  • APS office based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from an APS facility.
  • Home based: The employee prefers to work most of the time from his/her home.
*Employees in Flex roles are required to reside in Arizona (or NM for Four Corners-based employees). Role types are subject to change based on business need.
