And we will be better with you.We are looking for a Senior Innovation Scientist to develop innovative products to demonstrate Sensient's technologies and products in support of new business growth opportunities. In this role, you will provide leadership in driving biotechnology capabilities for our flavors business. You will work well in a team environment and actively contribute ideas while exhibiting subject matter expertise. You will Effectively develop and communicate features and benefits of new technologies and assist in delivering presentations to internal management and customers. Must work independently, with minimal supervision, and balance a multi-task workload.What you'll do
  • Support and build enzyme, fermentation and biological capabilities utilizing strategic partnerships and internal capabilities for Flavors Innovation
  • Design and create products using new or existing ingredients & flavors to demonstrate new technology features
  • Maintain accurate records of work, organize projects and prepare progress reports
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and work on cross-functional project activities with global team members
  • Identify and test new technologies and ingredients that will provide innovative solutions addressing industry issues
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and professional environment
  • Utilize computer systems to ensure that project and product applications data is maintained in a timely and accurate fashion
What you'll bring
  • Biotechnology/innovation experience within the food or ingredient industry
  • Advanced degree in food science or a closely related field
  • Hands on experience and in-depth knowledge of enzyme and fermentation chemistry.
  • Experience with food science and technology, flavor technologies and food ingredient technologies.
  • Should have knowledge of pertinent processes, regulatory guidelines and sensory testing.
  • A creative and curious mindset with a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced team-oriented environment
  • Computer proficiency of Microsoft products including Excel.
