- Maintenance and rebuilding of PACCAR equipment will be prevalent.
- Analyze, diagnose, repair, rebuild and provide maintenance of equipment; tractor-trailers, water, vac, and fuel trucks.
- Dismantles, repairs, and reassembles equipment using hoists, hand tools and pneumatic and electric tools.
- Test mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly to ensure proper performance.
- Work on engines, structural systems, hydraulic and electrical systems, and subassemblies such as transmissions and differentials.
- Routinely perform safety and productivity observations: shop, field, vehicle, and equipment.
- Perform duties in shop or in field as necessary.
- Safely climb ladders of various heights.
- Knowledge of PACCAR equipment.
- Knowledge of diesel theory, hydraulics, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment and/or light duty equipment preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of and experience in lubrication procedures for all types of heavy equipment common to heavy construction and oilfield service industries.
- Ability to maintain equipment maintenance records.
- Ability to give and receive oral safety warnings, instructions, and task assignments.
- Ability to use hand and power tools.
- Ability to read and understand schematic, blueprint/drawings, job descriptions, maintenance/safety/technical manuals, and safety/warning signs.
- Knowledge and ability to use diagnostic equipment and computers.
- Ability to work as part of a team; communicate effectively with fellow workers and alternate.
- Ability to demonstrate adherence to established safety policies and procedures.
- Ability to demonstrate support for the company’s environmental management system.
- Must have ability to stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination. These basic physical requirements are essential for safe performance of the job in harsh environments with exposure to very cold temperatures and while wearing arctic gear.
- Standing for prolonged periods of time.
- Driving for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather
- Ability to climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
- Ability to wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
- Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
- Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
- Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.
- Minimum of five (5) years of heavy equipment maintenance experience or an associate degree or certification from an accredited diesel/heavy equipment technology program with two (2) years of heavy equipment maintenance experience required.
- Valid driver's license and the ability to be covered by Worley auto insurer.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
- Experience working with remote North Slope operations.
