Job DetailsJob Location: LSF Quality Control Center LLC - Boston, MAPosition Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $125000.00 - $140000.00 Salary/yearTravel Percentage: Up to 25%Job Shift: AnyJob Category: ManagementDescriptionGENERAL SUMMARY:The Director of Facilities and Construction is responsible for managing the process of maintaining and overseeing restaurant buildings and equipment, new store constructions, remodels, and small projects for Legal Sea Foods, Smith & Wollensky and Strega Italiano (collectively PPX Hospitality Brands). Duties include negotiating contracts with service providers, inspecting facilities to meet safety regulations and coordinating renovations and updates. Works closely with other departments to ensure all needs are provided within budgetary parameters. Oversees the vendor relationship and their performance at all restaurant locations. Provides 24/7 availability to operations management.This position is being hired by Legal Sea Foods and will support its sister brands; Smith & Wollensky and Strega ItalianoQualificationsSKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Must have prior experience in managing a distribution center and multiple production areas with sales over 100 million.
  • Ability to identify and resolve issues/problems in a tactful manner.
  • Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from plant operations and requiring coordination with other departments and vendors.
  • Thorough knowledge of all seafood products produced by Legal Sea Foods, products produced for Smith & Wollensky, and Strega Italiano is required.
  • Must be able to understand and control inventory levels. (Strong inventory control skills, calculating inventory days on hand, yield analyses on all seafood products).
  • Exemplary leadership skills; leads by example, sets expectations, holds people accountable and strategize quickly.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop teamwork and align people towards a common goal.
  • Exceptional communication skills, verbal and written required. Must be able to interact verbally and listen attentively to co-workers, managers, and supervisors.
  • Needs to be computer & technology literate and a quick learner. (Compeat, MS office, Paycom, M&M label software a plus, Proprietary food safety HACCP app.
  • Able to adapt to changes in the work environment; manages competing demands; changes approach or method to best fit the situation.
