- Develop and maintain strong relationships with businesses and organizations in the food industry and supply chain management sectors.
- Collaborate with industry partners to identify internship and mentorship opportunities for students, facilitating meaningful experiential learning experiences.
- Serve as a liaison between the College of Business and industry stakeholders, fostering partnerships and exploring opportunities for collaboration and innovation.
- Visit high schools and community colleges to promote our food industry and supply chain programs, engaging with prospective students and providing information about academic offerings and career opportunities.
- Assist with student recruitment efforts, working closely with the admissions department to identify and attract top talent to our programs.
- Provide guidance and support to students throughout the admissions process, offering assistance with applications, financial aid, and enrollment.
- Organize and participate in student domestic and international trips related to the food industry and supply chain management, providing students with valuable networking opportunities and firsthand industry insights.
- Assist and advise students participating in conference and business plan competitions, offering mentorship and guidance to help them succeed in these competitive environments.
- Attend open house recruiting events on campus, representing the College of Business and promoting our programs to prospective students and their families.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Food Science, or related field required; Master's degree preferred.
- Previous experience working in the food industry or supply chain management field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, faculty, staff, and industry partners.
- Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or academic advising preferred.
- Knowledge of internship and mentorship programs and best practices in experiential learning.
- Willingness to travel locally and internationally as needed for student recruitment and engagement activities.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends to accommodate student events and activities.
