- Precision Imaging: Interpreting physician orders to capture accurate and high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Patient Care & Comfort: Administering contrast materials, skillfully positioning patients for optimal imaging, and providing basic patient care to ensure their comfort and safety throughout the scanning process.
- Equipment Mastery: Preparing and operating advanced CT scan equipment with proficiency and attention to detail.
- Dynamic Work Environment: Efficiently maneuvering equipment and patients within the department.
- Accurate Documentation: Submitting thorough and timely imaging, patient history documentation, and case charges to maintain comprehensive patient records.
- Team Collaboration: Supporting departmental initiatives that enhance both patient and employee satisfaction, contributing to a positive and effective work environment.
- Independent Judgment: Performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, initiative, and ingenuity to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis.
- Continuous Learning: Maintaining current skills and actively pursuing ongoing professional development and education. This includes staying informed about CHI Franciscan standards, protocols, and procedures specific to the CT function, and learning from radiologists.
- Quality Assurance: Participating in quality assurance audits and activities, as well as performing incidental office duties as needed, to ensure timely and complete patient records and contribute to a highly functioning department and team.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited school of Radiological Technology, including coursework in cross-sectional anatomy and/or demonstrated skill/knowledge in cross-sectional anatomy.
- Experience: One year of dedicated work experience as a CT Technologist is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification:
- American Registry of Radiology Technologist (ARRT) required.
- Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS Certification required.
- State of Washington Registration as a Radiologic Technologist required.
- CT Registration is preferred.
