Compensation: Competitive salary + bonus + full benefitsPosition Overview:A growing manufacturing company in Worcester is seeking a hands-on Controller to oversee all accounting operations and financial reporting. This role is a key member of the leadership team, responsible for ensuring accurate financial management, maintaining internal controls, and driving process improvements across the organization.Key Responsibilities:Lead the day-to-day operations of the accounting department, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and month-end closePrepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAPManage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reportingOversee inventory and cost accounting processesCoordinate with external auditors during annual audits and ensure tax complianceEvaluate current systems and procedures, and implement process improvementsMaintain and enforce internal controls to safeguard company assetsProvide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-makingSupervise and mentor accounting staffCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and executive leadershipQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred)7+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or Assistant Controller rolePrior experience in a manufacturing environment requiredStrong knowledge of GAAP, cost accounting, and inventory managementProficiency with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, or similar ERP)Advanced Excel skills and analytical mindsetExcellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
