Interfaces routinely with senior industry personnel including NRC, INPO, Nuclear Safety Review Board and Nuclear Oversight Committee.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities·Ensures that training upholds Operations Standards of Conduct·Developing and implementing training programs that align with the strategic goals and objectives of the Operations Department·Collaborating with the Operations department and station managers to identify training needs and developing training programs·Delivering training programs to Operators using a variety of methods, including classroom instruction, Simulator/lab and on-the-job training·Oversee the Initial Licensed and non-Licensed Operator Training programs·Oversee the Continuing Licensed and non-Licensed Operator Training programs·Oversee the Simulator group and Upgrades/Modifications to the simulator·Communicate simulator or regulatory examination concerns to the Director, Nuclear Training and Director, Nuclear Operations·Effectively interact as a CPNPP management representative with external agencies such as NRC and INPO·Oversee the Operations Training program procedures·Conduct evaluations of station programs and processes·Manages supervisors and a team of trainers - providing coaching and feedback to ensure the effective delivery of training programEducation, Experience, & Skill Requirements·6 years of Commercial Nuclear Power experience (equivalent experience will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis) (Required)·SRO license or certification at CPNPP or similar technology (Preferred)·Fully qualified nuclear training instructor (including simulator qualifications) (Preferred)·3 years of Control Room SRO experience at CPNPP or other Pressurized Water Reactor facility (Preferred)·3 years of experience which involves oversight of an accredited Operations Training program (Desired)Key Metrics
