JOB TITLE: Material Handler (Fabric)FULL-TIME (hours per week: 40) Monday-Friday 6:00AM-3:00PMEDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED preferred.EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to read a ruler.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be authorized for coverage under agency insurance if operating agency vehicle, have good driving record, valid driver’s license, and/or required level of personal auto insurance.
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check, per company requirements.
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
  • Ability to arrive early and/or stay late if needed.
  • Adequate ability in communicating in spoken conversation – adequate volume speech.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain positive working relationships with management and peers.

N/AJOB RESPONSIBILITIES SUMMARY:
Handles materials for assigned department. Keeps work moving to and from all stations.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Handles materials for department to which assigned.
  • Responsible for keeping work moving to and from all stations in the production process.
  • Brings all materials out of stock and returns materials to stock.
  • Transfers materials to the next workstation in the production process.
  • Packing of materials for assigned department.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES RELATED TO THIS POSITION MAY INCLUDE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING: Based upon workload demands, may be required to arrive early, or work late.WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  • Adequate ability for conversation, telephone use, and emergency information systems.
  • Ability to be independently mobile on all surfaces and situations.
  • Ability to move safely about work area.
  • Ability to retrieve items from high and low areas.
  • Ability to perceive size, discrimination, temperature, shapes, and/or textures.
  • Ability to safety retrieve and transport up to 10 pounds an average of 20 times per day.
  • Ability to use hands (or adaptive device) for fine manipulation
  • Ability to use feel (or adaptive device) for operation of foot controls
  • Ability to bend/squat/twist/kneel several times per day
  • Physical stamina to work at least 8 hours per day.
