JOB SUMMARY:The IT Project Manager will plan, lead, and complete technology projects to support the organization’s goals. Moving from an IT Helpdesk Manager role, this position requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. The IT Project Manager will coordinate and manage resources ensuring projects run smoothly. Additionally, they will oversee contractors and vendors, confirming their work aligns with project needs under the IT Manager and CIO’s guidance.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage IT projects from start to finish, ensuring they stay on schedule and within
  • budget.
  • Develop plans, set goals, and identify risks to keep projects on track.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, provide updates, and address any concerns.
  • Lead teams, assign tasks, and make sure milestones are met.
  • Supervise contractors and vendors, ensuring their work meets company standards.
  • Support team members transitioning into project roles.
  • Improve IT processes using insights from previous work experience.
  • Ensure projects follow IT policies, security rules, and industry regulations.
  • Use project management tools to keep projects organized.
  • Maintain ongoing oversight of Helpdesk operations, o􀆯ering strategic guidance and
  • adaptability in response to changing support needs.
  • Continuously improve IT processes, leveraging insights from prior helpdesk and project
  • experience.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. Work experience could substitute for a degree with 1.5 years of worked equaling 1 credit year.
  • Experience leading IT helpdesk teams and managing projects.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems and service management.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem solving skills.
  • Familiarity with project management tools (Microsoft Project, Jira, Trello).
  • Preferred Certifications: PMP, ITIL, or Scrum Master.
