- The successful candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, biophysics, or a related field, with expertise in protein expression and purification, cloning, and next-generation sequencing
- Experience with insect or mammalian cell expression systems is desirable but not required
- Candidates must demonstrate critical thinking, the ability to work independently, strong verbal and written communication skills, and enthusiasm for learning new techniques

A postdoctoral researcher position is available in the Oliveira Lab in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at Yeshiva University's Beren Campus in midtown Manhattan. The expected start date is flexible, though preferably on or around December 1, 2025. The appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal for a second year based on performance and professional conduct. The successful candidate will work on characterizing and engineering a novel group of calcium-responsive photoproteins from bioluminescent marine invertebrates, as well as developing calcium sensors.
