OverviewAs a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the commercialization and sustaining marketing activities for the sample preparation portfolio segment of the Consumables and Lab Automation Business Unit. Attention to detail, along with the ability to grasp and translate technical capabilities into benefits, is essential. Reporting to the Senior Director, Sample Preparation Portfolio, the Senior Product Marketing Manager is a highly visible, global role that must lead through influence with several cross-functional teams across the entire Waters Division.A self-directed, highly motivated individual with strong business sense as well as technical and market knowledge would be ideal for this position. Domestic and international travel of up to 30% is required.Responsibilities
  • Understand and implement sample preparation solutions strategy and roadmap product marketing in relation to the greater Waters portfolio and strategy.
  • Work closely with market segments, portfolio owners and scientific teams to complete the sample preparation product marketing roadmap and to drive innovation.
  • Work closely with marketing communications, market segments, portfolio owners and scientific teams on content generation to fulfill marketing strategy campaigns.
  • Generate personas, value propositions and positioning for key areas of responsibility.
  • Develop comprehensive marketing requirements based off voice of the customer and work cross functionally with strategic teams to generate cases that aid in the justification and prioritization of new products or improvements.
  • Leverage significant industry and domain expertise to drive strategic decision-making regarding go-to-market strategies for current and new products – including, but not limited to foundational messaging and materials, target market prioritization/segmentation, sales plays, account- or segment-based messaging/engagement strategies,
  • Maintain competitive intelligence and develop appropriate and timely responses for internal and external audiences.
  • Acts as a subject matter authority for the responsible product line.
Qualifications
  • Minimum BS in a Science and a Business-related field (MBA) is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in product management, and business development or other customer-facing role in a technology domain.
  • Experience in the small molecule pharmaceutical industry, CXO, ideally bioanalysis or F&E.
  • Experience with developing 'Go-to-Market' product strategies is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding organization and proactive problem-solving skills.
