- Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and network infrastructure.
- Oversee hardware lifecycle management (procurement, installation, upgrades, and decommissioning).
- Manage operating systems (Windows and Linux) including patching and security hardening.
- Ensure robust data backup, disaster recovery, and storage solutions are in place and tested.
- Administer enterprise software and tools (email, collaboration suites, user directories, etc.).
- Enforce access control, MFA, and least-privilege policies across all systems.
- Maintain compliance with relevant standards and complete audits.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Bamboo).
- Manage infrastructure-as-code (e.g., Ansible).
- Support containerization and orchestration platforms (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Troubleshoot and optimize build, test, and deploy workflows in collaboration with developers.
- Onboard and offboard employees, ensuring access and hardware are provisioned/decommissioned.
- Maintain clear technical documentation, diagrams, and SOPs for IT and DevOps processes.
- Educate team members on IT best practices, security awareness, and tool usage.
- Implement system and application monitoring (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).
- Analyze incidents and outages, performing root cause analysis and remediation.
- Identify and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.
- 3+ years of experience in IT systems administration (Windows and Linux).
- Hands-on experience with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, firewalls).
- Strong knowledge of hardware configuration, troubleshooting, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Bamboo) and version control (Git).
- Proficiency with automation and scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python).
- Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration.
- Knowledge of security best practices for infrastructure, endpoints, and identity management.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to document and communicate technical solutions.
- US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Network+, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, RHCSA).
- 5+ years of combined IT administration and DevOps experience.
- Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
- Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk).
- Familiarity with configuration management and endpoint management tools (Intune, JAMF, SCCM).
- Experience with advanced networking (VLANs, VPN tunneling, load balancers, SD-WAN).
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53) and audit processes.
- Demonstrated ability to design scalable, fault-tolerant IT/DevOps infrastructure.
- Strong collaboration skills with software engineering teams and comfort in agile environments.
