- Utilize analytical skills for capacity analysis, tool and equipment utilization as well as line balancing
- Discrete Event Simulation to validate Cycle time, WIP, bottlenecks, throughput, capacity, resource utilization, and production rate changes of complex production systems.
- Analyze and design sequence of operations and work flow to improve efficiencies in plant and production facilities and equipment layouts; and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel and optimization of product flow.
- Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems.
- May assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of facilities.
- Develop and provide time standards to the shop floor as well as standard work for operations and processes.
- Define improvement projects aligned with business strategies through the use of Just-In-Time/Lean manufacturing tools and techniques.
- Facilitate and coach projects and subsystems of Lean activities from inception through completion and act as primary customer contact to meet project objectives.
- Be the catalyst to initiate change activities and coach for sustaining momentum.
- Develop and implement Lean improvement plans and schedules to ensure accuracy and timely completion.
- Conduct reviews and oversee improvement activities (e.g. 5S, Kitting and Mechanic Verification).

- You must be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident)
- You must be enrolled full time in a university degree program aligned to the area of internship.
- You must be a current sophomore, junior, senior or graduate student in good academic standing.
