OverviewAs part of the Gallagher Global Brokerage compensation team, this role will focus on compensation program management and administration, as well as providing advisory support to Human Resource, Finance, and divisional business leaders in our Americas division. This role will provide subject matter expertise in the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related program and will interact closely with internal stakeholders to facilitate compensation-related activities in support of divisional goals and objectives.
How you'll make an impact
  • Builds and maintains constructive relationships with relevant stakeholders, including executives and divisional leadership in GGB, the compensation function, and corporate HR, among others, and sees opportunities to enhance compensation programs in order to retain and motive our top talent.
  • Works with divisional business and HR leaders to develop compensation programs specific to their organization. Manages compensation initiatives, long-term and variable incentive plans within the division.
  • Evaluates and makes recommendations on selected business changes requiring analysis (e.g., rates for new hires, specialized programs, budgeting, restructuring, acquisitions, etc.).
  • Works pro-actively with the GGB HR team to ensure the division is suitably investing in our top talent through the creation of incentive plans, awarding of annual equity, retention plan designs, and enhancements to existing compensation and benefit programs.
  • Analyzes, designs, leads projects associated with, and implements targeted compensation and variable incentive programs. Ensures consistency of approach between rewards and performance management practices. Partners with other compensation colleagues, both within GGB, in corporate COEs, and within other divisions, to ensure plans are designed and managed in compliance with global best practices, policies, and local regulations.
  • Models financial impact of compensation plans in support of divisional structure and supports the implementation of a new compensation programs.
  • Teams with HR and business leadership to handle and administer annual pay review processes, including; salary increases, bonus allocations, and long-term incentive nominations. Partners with compensation partners to ensure annual pay review is administered in compliance with global processes.
  • Works with compensation specialist teams in corporate and within GGB global to incorporate compensation platforms and tools, develop employee long-term incentive retention strategies, implement salary structures, fine-tune and instill proper job architecture, and integrate corporate programs into the division. Serves as liaison between specialist groups and business groups, including specialists in meetings with business leaders.
  • Leads introduction of corporate initiatives within the division, customizing communication materials as necessary.
  • Educates HR and Business contacts on compensation related initiatives and usage of compensation data.
About YouRequired:
  • BA + minimum 7 years related experience.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Power Point, and expert knowledge of Excel.
  • Ability to prepare clear, concise, and complete analysis, proposals, presentations, reports and other written materials.
Highly Preferred:
  • Demonstrated ability working in an Human Resources or in a senior reward/compensation role ideally within a financial or professional services organization
  • Experience analyzing commercial data and management information
  • Experience in project management and leading large compensation or HR related projects
  • Experience working in a large and complex matrixed organization
  • Must possess advanced technical skills in Excel, including ability to model expected results.
  • Knowledge of principles, methods, and techniques of human resources administration related to the area of compensation.
  • Experience working with executive leadership teams.
  • Exposure to merger and acquisition activity, and significant organizational change experience
  • Knowledge of applicable wage and hour laws, labour laws, and other regulations related to the area of compensation.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of compensation program development, administration, and evaluation.
