
Powder Coating Specialist

- Monitor paint line and epoxy line equipment including pre-treatment systems, spray booths, ovens, and conveyors.
- Adjust equipment settings to maintain optimal performance.
- Perform routine inspections on paint and epoxy line machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and process issues.
- Inspect finished products for defects in coatings.
- Conduct thickness and adhesion tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Document quality checks including chemical level monitoring and report deviations.
- Follow all safety protocols including PPE usage and hazardous material handling.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Comply with environmental regulations related to paint and chemical usage.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives.
- Suggest and implement changes to improve line efficiency and reduce waste and maximize productive operations
- Provide feedback to maintenance and operations on required support and productivity opportunities.
- Ability to manage complex processes with multiple functions and stations
- Ability to understand pump systems and cleaning chemistry
- Challenge the status quo on how a process is running and be willing to implement improvements
- Clear communication with stakeholders on the shop floor

- HS Diploma/GED Required
- Minimum 2 Year degree in technical field
- Familiarity with powder coating and liquid paint systems.
- Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- 2-5 years of experience in manufacturing preferred
- Experience with computers, MS Office
- Ability to prepare, read and interpret written reports, instructions, procedures and guidelines
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- English language proficiency (reading, writing, oral) is required
