
Program Manager -- Mission Critical Data Center Engineering

- Provide overall program leadership and direction for multidisciplinary engineering teams, with a focus on mechanical design for mission critical data center projects.
- Oversee project execution from initial concept through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Supervise Senior Mechanical Engineering Consultants and other technical staff, providing mentorship, guidance, and performance management.
- Coordinate cross-functional collaboration between mechanical, electrical, and other building system teams to ensure fully integrated project solutions.
- Maintain continuous communication with clients, stakeholders, and partners to clarify requirements, manage expectations, and resolve issues.
- Facilitate regular project meetings to review progress, risks, schedules, and deliverables.
- Lead the development and enforcement of program standards, best practices, and quality control procedures.
- Oversee contract administration, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, claims, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Support the development and management of project budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Drive process improvements and innovation in support of mission critical infrastructure delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in engineering project/program management, including direct oversight of multidisciplinary teams.
- Proven track record of managing large-scale, complex building or mission critical facility projects (such as data centers, telecom, or similar)
- Strong leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and guide senior-level engineers.
- In-depth understanding of mechanical and building systems design principles, codes, and standards.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Strong technical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Profession Engineering license.
- Expert software and computer skills, including AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D rendering programs, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Experience managing program portfolios in mission critical/data center environments.
- Advanced knowledge of risk management, schedule and cost control, and quality assurance in technical projects.
- Knowledge of critical facility electrical design.
- Ability to write specifications for mechanical equipment, devices, and materials.
- Familiarity with other building systems and coordination with those systems and components.
