- Provide collections/delinquency-related data to Accounting/Finance.
- Create and maintain procedures for all Credit Solutions department functions.
- Serve as a voting member on the Commercial Credit Committee and Employee Loan Committee.
- Supervise the management of all bankruptcy cases (Chapter 7, 11, and 13).
- Supervise the management of all foreclosures and repossessions.
- Authorize and work with attorneys to file suit when necessary.
- Approve loans to be submitted to outside collection agencies.
- Hire, train, and supervise Credit Solutions staff.
- Conduct collection calls.
- Post monthly trustee payments.
- Approve loans in workout scenarios.
- Create monthly and quarterly reports for Management and Board of Directors.
- Oversee and document collateral protection insurance claims.
- Authorize changes in loan terms, waivers of payments, due date changes, and release of collateral on existing loans.
- Update credit reports and perform file maintenance.
- Attend bankruptcy hearings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Associate degree in a related field or equivalent experience required.
- Minimum of four years of experience in a loan servicing or collection department required.
- Extensive knowledge of Credit Union collection policies and procedures.
- Advanced experience in all areas of loss mitigation, including collections, charge-offs, modifications, foreclosures, bankruptcy, repossessions, and managing outsourced servicing providers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and acceptance of change in a dynamic financial environment.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Professional, well-developed interpersonal skills necessary for supervising staff and representing the Credit Union positively.
