- Reviews, analyzes, develops, prepares or applies engineering plans and technical specifications. Organizes and prepares reports or presentations of technical data and information.
- Requirements analysis to develop communication integration plans to meet platform requirements. Manage project system engineering reviews and configuration management of integration plans.
- Provide systems engineering support through design reviews for newly developed capabilities for software defined radios and associated ancillaries.
- Review of all qualification test reports and associated documentation for newly developed capabilities.
- Research new radio functionality, analyzing requirements, submit inputs for acquisition documentation and support technical evaluations of proposals.
- Provide support for radio developments including SATCOM modernization, new crypto requirements/development/integration of evolving communication protocols, tactical networking waveforms, and other functions for the ARC-210 family of products.
- Developing or reviewing platform integration designs, analyzing a variety of engineering data, applying conventional installation practices to develop, prepare, or recommend installation plans and drawings.
- Tasking includes providing TACCOM team with expertise related to Mobile User Objective System (MUOS), Satellite Communications (SATCOM) protocols, SATCOM systems integration, DAMA communications, Integrated Waveform (IW), Link 4A, Link 11, COM Encryption Algorithms, SATURN, HaveQuick, SINCGARS, aircraft bus control via 1553, Ethernet and the Program Loader Set (PLS) used to upload new radio software. Provide Integration Support for troubleshooting ARC-210 radios on airborne platforms integrating MUOS as a new capability using 1553 and Ethernet bus interfaces.
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, Computer Science or one of the following Engineering disciplines: Aerospace, Aeronautical, Electrical, Mechanical, Electronic or Computer Software is required.
- At least six (6) years of experience in an engineering position is required.
- Five (5) years of experience directly related to Naval Aviation systems and demonstrated knowledge in area of engineering expertise is preferred.
- Experience with ARC-210 family of products preferred
