Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, WI is seeking a HEALTH UNIT COORDINATOR to join our EMERGENCY ROOM team!The Health Unit Coordinator provides support in patient care areas to visitors, patients, and staff in a professional and caring manner.HOURS: Supplemental Tier 2 or 0.2 FTE, 16 Hour Biweekly, Varied ShiftsExperience/Qualifications
  • Knowledge of patient care standards and general office practices normally acquired through completion of a High School diploma, GED, or equivalent combination of education and experience., and courses in computer applications and medical terminology.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Health Unit Coordinators, or training/education to meet job requirements beneficial.
  • Two years’ experience as a Health Unit Coordinator beneficial.
  • Annual accrual of CEUs/continuing education requirements per Education Council recommendation for the given year.
  • Annual competencies as required by Aspirus and/or various regulatory agencies based on entity and/or job position.
