Social Worker - LMSW - $58,000 to $69,227Major Duties:
- Provide counseling, assessment, case management, academic planning, and attendance outreach for up to 40 or more students. Provide Post-secondary support to our YABC students, such as college and or career planning
- Develop group workshops that support and enhance students’ skill development and help build on youth competencies and reachable goals.
- Perform family interventions to support family engagement and participation in the school community and the lives of their youth.
- Develop and maintain a resource directory for student referrals
- Refer youth and families to appropriate resources both within the Good Shepherd Program Network and other community organizations as appropriate.
- In conjunction with GSS team and school, develop special in-school activities and events.
- Participate in staff/team meetings.
- Provide crisis intervention as needed.
- Coordinate with other Good Shepherd Services team members and maintain a collaborative relationship with DOE staff.
- Generate data required for statistical reporting and ensure that appropriate paperwork/database entry is completed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- MSW Required.
- Experience and demonstrated skill in working with youth and families required.
- Prior experience in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to implement best practices to achieve desirable outcomes.
- Must be able to work occasional evenings and weekends.
- Excellent organizational, written, and communication skills.
- Must have a commitment to work from a strength-based and/or youth development perspective.
