Fabrication Lead & Brake Press Operator

With a strong focus on innovation and customer satisfaction, the team is dedicated to delivering world-class products and support through design, manufacturing, and technical service.Position Overview:The company is seeking a Fabrication Lead and Press Brake Operator to coordinate, monitor, and produce various components used in the manufacturing of industrial-grade equipment. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this role includes hands-on fabrication work as well as leadership responsibilities within the department. The position requires experience operating a Trumpf CNC press brake, along with general fabrication skills.Key Responsibilities:Program, operate, and perform routine maintenance on the Trumpf CNC Press BrakeForm sheet metal ranging in thickness from 0.050” to 0.375”Monitor and organize parts through various fabrication work centersPlan and execute tasks in a logical, efficient manufacturing sequenceInterpret blueprints and assist with layout workMake dimensional adjustments to products as neededMaintain a clean, safe, and organized work environmentCollaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Supervisors to resolve issues and suggest improvementsOperate fabrication tools including angle grinders, tapping arms, shears, iron workers, and drill pressesWork with stainless steel, aluminum, and low carbon steel materialsHandle material deliveries and organize stock appropriatelyUtilize forklifts, overhead cranes, and band saws as neededAssist with general machine and facility maintenanceComply with all safety and personnel policiesPerform additional duties as assignedQualifications:Minimum 3 years' experience programming and operating press brakesMinimum 3 years' experience in a general fabrication roleAt least 1 year of experience in a lead or supervisory roleUnderstanding of shop math, metal properties, and machine tolerancesAbility to read blueprints and engineering drawingsPhysically capable of lifting 50+ lbs frequently and up to 75 lbs occasionallyHigh School Diploma or equivalentPreferred Skills & Experience:Familiarity with fiber laser cutting machineryWelding experience or knowledge of welding processesCAD software familiarity (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, eDrawings)ERP system experienceExperience with HVLP paint systemsBackground in low-volume, high-mix manufacturing environmentsStrong problem-solving skills and a positive, team-oriented attitudeBenefits:401(k) matching programTuition assistanceHealth, dental, and vision insuranceCompany-paid short-term disability and life insuranceVoluntary long-term disability and additional life insurance optionsPaid Time Off (PTO) program plus 9 paid company holidaysCharitable giving match program
