- Co-develop and execute the analytics strategy for the Internal Audit department, ensuring alignment with audit priorities, regulatory expectations, and evolving risk landscapes.
- Lead the integration of advanced analytics capabilities, including AI/ML models, anomaly detection, and automation, into the audit lifecycle to enhance insight generation and risk detection.
- Identify and prioritize high-impact use cases to improve audit efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage using both structured and unstructured data.
- Own the development and management of reusable analytics products, dashboards, and continuous risk monitoring tools that enable scalable and repeatable.
- Define and track metrics for success (e.g., adoption rates, cycle time reduction, coverage gains) to measure the impact and effectiveness of analytics initiatives.
- Develop and execute the program’s communications strategy, ensuring alignment and awareness across Internal Audit leadership, audit teams, and key stakeholders.
- Design and lead enablement programs, including training and knowledge-sharing initiatives, to upskill auditors and promote use of analytics across the department.
- Provide clear, concise reporting to senior leadership on program progress, impact, and roadmap execution, including materials for audit committee and regulatory updates.
- Support regulatory exams and internal governance reviews by ensuring analytics methods are transparent, well-documented, and compliant with applicable procedures and standards.
- Foster a culture of innovation and data-driven decision making within the Internal Audit Group through thought leadership, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Lead and mentor a geographically diverse team of analytics professionals, fostering a high-performance culture with a focus on growth and development.
- Continuously evolve the analytics operating model, including governance, intake/prioritization, and delivery.
- 10+ years of experience in analytics, audit, or risk roles within the financial services industry.
- Deep understanding of business processes, financial products, regulatory environments, and internal control frameworks.
- Proven experience leading teams and driving strategic transformation within established organizational structures.
- Hands-on experience with advanced analytics techniques, such as machine learning, predictive modeling, clustering, and anomaly detection.
- Proficiency in analytics programming (e.g., Python, R, SQL) and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong foundation in data-driven storytelling, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related fields; advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CPA, CIA, CISA, CFA, or data science) are preferred.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams in a matrixed environment.
