- Manage, monitor and coordinate SMS activities as directed. These duties include but are not limited to:
- Coordinate the development, implementation, maintenance and integration of the SMS throughout Frontier.
- Identify hazards and safety risk assessments including change management.
- Ensure effectiveness of safety risk controls.
- Promote safety.
- Advise the accountable executive on the performance of the SMS and on any need for improvement.
- Accountable for achieving safety performance relative to job tasks.
- Manage risk acceptable level: Yellow or lower as defined by Frontier’s company risk matrix.
- Lead all Material Services activities for assigned Airbus fleets and Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) service providers. Interface with Certificate Departments - including Engineering, Maintenance, Production Planning and Quality Assurance, to identify and define fleet material and service requirements.
- Ensure fleet material and service requirements are communicated, understood and executed throughout the Material Services organization - including Material Planning, Purchasing, Repair & Warranty and Material Services, to guarantee sources of supply.
- Maintain visibility of total Material Services costs for assigned fleets. Identify cost savings opportunities and coordinate improvement initiatives across the Supply Chain organization, including harvesting fleet warranties and maintenance reserve recovery.
- Monitor specific activities in the Material Services organization to ensure service levels are met or exceeded. Develop and implement Key Performance Metrics to document performance and measure improvement.
- Establish performance objectives for Material Services training to ensure policies and procedures utilized across Material Services are documented, understood and observed in all transactions.
- Establish annual training plan and monitor execution and documentation of both required and ad hoc training courses.
- Manage MRO Vendor evaluation and selection. Administer vendor invoice approval processes to ensure material is provided at the lowest overall cost, including factors such as acquisition, inventory and transportation. Provide regular reporting of vendor performance and cost metrics.
- Implement sound inventory control processes such as weighted cycle-counts and periodic focused audits to measure inventory accuracy. Investigate results and recommend corrective actions for accuracy improvement.
- Train, develop and manage assigned staff of C-Check Coordinators in the efficient accomplishment of daily support activities - including sourcing material, creating purchase orders and expediting deliveries. Pursue continuous improvement in Supply Chain processes and training of assigned personnel. Manage assigned resources to ensure consistent Supply Chain policies and procedures are developed, documented and deployed across the organization to achieve defined goals and objectives.
- Develop and manage assigned staff of Material Services Managers, Inventory Analysts, and Material
- Services analysts in the efficient accomplishment of their daily activities, including improvement plans when warranted. Pursue continuous improvement in Material Services processes and training of assigned personnel.
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, Aerospace Management or related field
- Aviation experience preferred
- Minimum 5 years of significant supply chain experience
- Minimum 5 years multi-function team leadership experience and proven cross-department project management experience
- MRO contract development and administration experience preferred
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) or Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) preferred
