- AAS in industrial maintenance and maintenance reliability certifications are preferred.
- Verifiable maintenance technical training:
- Possess advanced certifications in hydraulics, pneumatics, gearboxes or drivetrains; and
- Possess the Level 1 (PdM) predictive maintenance certification in vibration and laser alignment
- 8 to 10 years of heavy industrial hydraulic mechanical maintenance experience.
- Ability to work Monday - Friday day shift
- Understanding of shop mathematics with the use of drawings, specifications, charts, tables, and precision measuring instruments.
- Advanced knowledge of the following maintenance disciplines: AC/DC motors, gear box mechanics, lubrication principles, cutting torch, NFPA 70E, and common maintenance hand tools.
- Advanced knowledge of pumps, gear boxes, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, rigging principles (heavy load calculations).
- Thorough understanding of lubricants (gear box, couplings, bearings).
- Applicable PDM training - i.e. laser alignment and vibration
- Work from drawings, sketches, wiring diagrams, machine operation and maintenance manuals, work order requests, and oral instructions to install, adjust, repair, and perform assigned maintenance duties.
- Troubleshoot and service pumps, gear boxes, motors, cranes, and hydraulic, and pneumatic systems as needed at an advanced level.
- Periodically inspect conditions of plant operating machines and equipment for preventative maintenance purposes. Inspect and perform routine equipment care on all shop machinery, mobile equipment, and cranes.
- Tear down, replace, repair, install, and assemble simple equipment parts, components, and accessories.
- Cut, bend, and thread conduit, pipe, and tubing.
- Maintain specified records of work performed, details of repairs, and material usage.
- Use knowledge and training in hydraulics/pneumatics or gearboxes/drivetrains to troubleshoot, repair, install, assemble, or disassemble complex mechanical assemblies or precision equipment at an advanced level.
- Works with local leadership, maintenance teams and suppliers to recommend and implement solutions that produce cost-savings, efficiency improvements or simplifications to equipment or processes.
- Must have the knowledge and ability to plan, perform and lead pneumatic, hydraulic, gearbox or drivetrain projects.
- Interprets schematics/blueprints at an advanced level.
- Research, specify, and help source equipment and parts.
