- Work as a critical member of the development team in support of design, prototyping, and evaluation activities.
- Interpret and work from engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Assemble, install, and troubleshoot mechanical and electromechanical systems.
- Conduct performance and reliability testing; record and analyze test data.
- Use precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, torque wrenches, etc.) to verify part conformance.
- Maintain lab equipment, tools, and work areas in a safe and organized manner.
- Support product validation activities, including test fixture setup and data logging.
- Prepare technical reports, documentation, and test records for engineering review.
- Suggest improvements to designs, processes, or testing methods based on observations and test results.
- Associate degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field; or equivalent technical training and experience.
- 2–5 years of relevant hands-on mechanical or manufacturing technician experience.
- Some experience with power tools, electrical instrumentation, electro-mechanical controls and systems, PLC’s to control and monitor tests.
- A high level of attention to detail and an ability to follow detailed procedures and instructions.
