Job Description:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assists with the maintenance and organization of the overall program of interscholastic athletics as well as the intramural and physical education activities k-12. Assists with the overall daily office management of the Athletic Department. Assists with the ordering, processing and disbursement of athletic supplies. Keeps financial records of payments for officials, entry fees, and tournaments and hiring of officials for athletic events.
Serves as coordinator of athletics to Director of Athletics.
Assists with coordination of middle schools and elementary schools intramurals and physical education programs.
Schedules transportation and officials.
Orders, processes and maintains material and equipment.
Processes financial vouchers for payroll and athletic purposes.
Assists in preparation of reports and related departmental requirements.
Answers routine phone inquiries, take messages, routes calls.
Assists in the maintenance of accounts, records, and filing.
Types, prepares, distributes, records, reports, correspondence, etc.
Assists with evening duties when necessary.
Assists in establishing and enforcing the physical, academic and training requirements of eligibility for participation.
Perform all other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:Required: High school diploma or general education degree (GED).One to three months in general office work and or training or equivalentcombination of education and experience.Knowledge of computer systems, word processing functions, website administration, email, internet.Experience training groups or individuals.Two or more years experience as Data Entry Operator of Secretary, with hands on experience using Powerschool or equivalent programs.LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to speak read and write fluently in English. Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff and community members.Preferred ability to speak, read write fluently in Spanish.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to follow instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to address problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.BASIC SKILLS:
Ability to perform detailed work with minimal errors.
Ability to safely operate standard office equipment.
Ability to use a personal computer and learn required software.
Complete assigned tasks independently, with minimal supervision.
