Frontline SupervisorResponsible for the day-to-day operation of receiving, selection and loading of product in a temperature controlled environment and maintaining productivity level for hourly members. Role model and demonstrate the company's core values and safety of others.RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Communicate with fellow supervisors and Manager on daily operational activities.
  • Manage and promote safety and sanitation in all areas.
  • Plan production/staffing need on a daily, weekly, period basis.
  • Work hand in hand with all other areas to maximize productivity and performance.
  • Monitor and meet all order accuracy requirements/expectations.
  • Conduct meetings with hourly associates.
  • Help develop and train hourly associates.
  • Generate productivity reports regarding labor standards, and account for all labor hours, adhering to requirements and works toward obtaining objectives and goals.
  • Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ensure compliance with established procedures and maintain effective internal control over the food safety program and adherence to the Master sanitation schedule.
  • Attend and conduct daily operational and safety meetings with hourly associates.
  • Provide high visibility on the shifts to ensure practices are being followed in all areas of the distribution center.
  • File daily, weekly, and monthly inspections according to the master sanitation and food safety compliance regulations.
  • Track, collect, and print Supervisor Bi-Weekly Sanitation inspections and report deficiencies to shift management.
  • Evaluate facility sanitary conditions daily, assess risk base on food safety and public health principles, prioritize corrective actions and verify sanitation activities and validate result. Complete appropriate documentation.
  • Plan & direct sanitation activities & establish sanitation priorities for maintaining clean DC with effective operations & cost factors.
  • Work with Management for distribution and staffing of assigned area. Know assigned areas break and lunch times and monitor continually for work quality and compliance.
  • Actively assess progress and quality of work, train, coach, and issue discipline as necessary.

  • Knowledge of distribution systems.
  • Must be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.

  • Must have excellent analytical skills.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent computer skills: knowledge in Microsoft applications and WMS/WIN.
  • Should have 1 or more years of related experience in Logistics/Supply Chain.
Desired Previous Job Experience
  • Previous distribution center management experience.
Physical Demands:
  • Regularly required to do the following activities:
  • Walk, bending, twisting, squatting up to 80% of your time.
  • Able to work in temperature-controlled areas negative -14 degrees, 34 degree, and ambient temperature up to 80% of your time.
  • Talk and hear.
  • Must not have a fear of heights
  • Climb stairs and/or ladders; twist upper torso, stoop, kneel, crouch and/or crawl.
  • Reach up and out with hands and arms.
  • Lift up to 80 pounds and carry for short distance.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
