- Coordinate the execution of the operational procedures for specific tasks during normal operations or during system failure
- Supply accurate fault reports and system breakdowns to technical staff for quick fault resolution.
- Complete hand over report during shift changes.
- Contact with the operations staff in the field to inform them of any operational problems that requires intervention.
- Liaise with management regarding daily operations.
- Contact with other stakeholders of the BHS to manage the daily problems or questions related to system operation.
- Monitor system performance (system baggage flow).
- Monitor manual encoder operator performance.
- Technical and procedural training to manual encoding operators in performing their duties.
- Elaboration of the operation shift report.
- Analysis of eventual problems to determine corrective actions possible to prevent their future appearance.
- Carry out other assignments as requested from management or shift supervisors.
- 2+ years of work experience experience in baggage handling systems and/or automated systems in material handling industries, operations and maintenance.
- Ability to successfully obtain and maintain an Airside Pass (Security Clearance)
- High-Level control (SAC) skills
- Software documentation and IT network knowledge
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities
- Team player, personable and a winning attitude
- Must be able to work any shift, including nights, weekends and holidays
