Our integrated system emphasizes prevention, healthy living and is designed to reduce health care disparities and avoid unnecessary trips to emergency rooms or other more costly forms of care.Desert Sage Health Centers is currently recruiting an energetic full time Medical Assistant to join our team. This individual needs to be self motivated, energetic, and willing to approach customer service with a smile first, for our clinical department! This individual collaborates with other health center team members assisting in the promotion of the health and well-being of patients.   • Schedules and coordinates paperwork for patient/provider appointments
  • Assists providers with examinations, treatments, testing, and procedures
  • Performs patient triage in-house and by phone
  • Enters nursing charges and patient related information into electronic health record software
  • Reviews patient charts, checks in patient, obtains and records all patient's vitals, histories, etc.
  • Directly addresses patient care gaps during and between visits
  • Participates in quality improvement efforts
  • Administers medications, immunizations and applies sterile dressings
  • Maintains and stocks inventory of office and/or clinical supplies
  • Educates patients regarding health-related issues
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant Program.
  • CMA certification is in good standing or a Medical Assistant with intent to become certified
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitating (CPR) certification in good standing
  • Bilingual fluency preferred
