- Perform database administration tasks required for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of database management systems (DBMS), and related software.
- Design and implement predictive analysis for database systems.
- Administer backend storage servers and hardware platforms for database systems.
- Install, configure, monitor, and performance-tune production databases to ensure high availability and efficient operations.
- Provide support in the development and implementation of database policies, procedures, and guidelines, ensuring database integrity and availability.
- Perform regular database software updates and patching as part of security and performance management.
- Collaborate with development, business, and operations teams to ensure the security, confidentiality, and integrity of data.
- Responsible for the availability, reliability, and integrity of business data stored in production databases.
- TS/SCI clearance with polygraph adjudication or active TS with the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph.
- Bachelor's degree in a field of study related to the position with 8+ years of relevant experience; Master's degree in a field of study related to the position and 6+ years of relevant experience. An additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration.
- Active Security+ certification (DoD 8570 Baseline certification for IAT Level 2).
- Extensive experience with Oracle database platforms.
- Experience applying database STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) to Oracle databases.
- Proven experience with patching and upgrading Oracle databases.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and resolving database performance issues.
- Ability to independently upgrade major database instances.
- Experience with and ability to independently implement multiple database backup strategies.
- Experience Oracle ASM and Grid Control setup and Cluster management.
- Experience with Data Warehouse and Transactional database.
- Proven experience with patching and upgrading Oracle RAC databases.
- Experience writing SQL and PL/SQL queries to generate reports, modify data, and perform other database tasks.
- Strong experience in database design and development.
- Experience with Linux and/or Windows operating systems.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud environments.
- Experience with VMware.
- Experience with IBM Data Stage.
- Experience with SAP Business Objects.
- Experience with GoldenGate.
- Familiarity with Agile practices and methodologies.
- Advanced experience in database monitoring, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and high availability strategies for Oracle 19c or higher.
- Expertise in designing, developing, and managing large-scale databases.
- Advanced knowledge of Oracle database backup and recovery strategies.
- In-depth knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions for Oracle databases.
- Strong ability to design, develop, and document technical solutions and standard operating procedures.
- Experience administering Linux/Windows server-based operating systems and scripting via command-line interface (CLI).
- Proficient in capacity planning, utilization, and performance monitoring for indexes, tables, queries, and stored procedures.
