Golf Course Maintenance Worker

- This position involves semi-skilled manual and skilled equipment operation work in golf course maintenance
- Responsible for watering greens, and tees
- Maintains sand traps
- Changes cups on greens and tee markers
- Mows turf with sophisticated golf maintenance equipment and picks up debris, leaves, and broken tree limb
- Performs related work as required
- Reports to permanent Golf Course Green Keepers
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor, and follow oral and written instructions without close supervision
- Skilled in the use of hand and mechanical tools and equipment
- Must obtain CPR/AED and First Aid certification within 30 days of employment. The City offers CPR/AED and First Aid classes, which are free to Parks employees. - Knowledge of the proper use and operation of equipment used in golf course maintenance
- High School Diploma or G.E.D Equivalent and some experience in grounds keeping; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
