Through direct in-person client meetings, phone and email contact, and leveraging the broad resources of the firm, the insurance client manager will be responsible for maintaining and nurturing these relationships. The goals of the role are to retain client assets, strategically identify cross–selling opportunities to grow client assets, and to ensure the highest level of client satisfaction such that clients would recommend the firm to others. The successful candidate will be able to appropriately balance the delicate task of being a strong advocate on behalf of the client while ensuring that the firm’s interests are also met.What you can expectThe position has three key areas of focus:Relationship ManagementServe as Lead or Secondary Relationship Manager for insurance clients with minimal direction subsequent to a reasonable transition periodProactively manage and develop relationships with clients with the primary goal of client retention, overseeing all aspects of day-to-day servicing of these critical relationshipsUnderstand and be able to drive conversations internally and with clients’ senior investment staff on insurance asset management including guideline sensitives, duration management, book yield optimization, gain/loss consequences, accounting & capital implications, and reinsurance structuresInvestment SupportPrimary client contact for insurance clients for ongoing investment related activities, including ad hoc questions and access to broader platformCoordinate and participate in client meetings, including portfolio reviews, Investment Committee meetings, and Strategic Client Annual Reviews (scheduling, attending, notes, follow ups)Attend relevant Investment Team meetings to stay current on the firm’s macro outlook and key investment strategies and be able to speak toDay-to-Day Client ManagementLead onboarding of new clients and new accounts from existing clientsCoordinate with investment teams, client service and other stakeholders to ensure the client’s needs are being thoughtfully and proactively met. The salary range for this role is from $145,000 to $180,000. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
