In this role, the Associate Attorney will be expected to manage a full litigation docket with professionalism, initiative, and strategic focus. Core responsibilities include:
- Effectively manage an assigned caseload, ensuring timely progression and strategic oversight
- Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations, maintaining consistent and clear communication throughout the case lifecycle
- Draft high-quality legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses
- Take and defend depositions in accordance with case strategy
- Attend and conduct hearings, mediations, and other court-related proceedings
- Perform legal research and draft memoranda to support case preparation and resolution
- Collaborate with the legal team to develop and execute case strategies that drive results
- Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to ensure organized, efficient case management
- Participate actively in docket reviews and firm-wide meetings
- Contribute to firm-wide development and operational initiatives
- Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience
- Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment
- Strong leadership skills
- Litigation and trial experience preferred
- Strong organizational and task prioritization
- Strong analytical and legal writing skills
- Actively seeks and implements feedback and works well with a team
- Good standing with the State Bar of Texas
