- Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) within the Pittsburgh organization to ensure business demands are properly understood and challenges to the Supply Chain are addressed.
- Plan and manage Supply Chain requirements for New Product Introduction (NPI) and major redesign projects.
- Interact with Technology, Product Marketing and others to influence content and ensure appropriate consideration is given to Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Quality (DFQ) and environmental compliance.
- Ensure Global Supply Chain teams understand the program requirements and that adequate project schedules are established that meet the needs of the business.
- Ensure specific project requirements are communicated and properly coordinated to allow for proper capacity and resource planning, for manufacturing, Test/Manufacturing engineering and other Supply Chain resources.
- Represent Supply Chain interests in internal meetings and discussions concerning the specific projects, prepare for and participate in NPD Gate and Design Reviews.
- Ensure manufacturing requirements are understood, Manufacturing/Test Engineering resource allocations are planned, and proposed materials are reviewed to balance lifecycle risks with product needs through early involvement with Technology, Marketing and Project Management.
- Coordinate with Emerson environmental compliance resources to gather product information to satisfy regulatory reporting and other requirements.
- Engage in end-of-life discussions to drive proactive plans to phase out items as newer designs evolve.
- Work closely with Marketing and Inventory Management to develop effective plans for smooth transitions, while minimizing inventory impacts
- Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Process Technology) or equivalent
- Microsoft Project or similar project planning tool experience
- 10 years minimum Supply Chain Project experience within a technology driven organization and 3 years leading teams/projects
- Demonstrated success in creating cross-functional support and buy-in
- Leadership experience and skilled in interpersonal relationships
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
- MBA
- Prior experience with NPI projects
- Knowledge and Experience with Electronics Manufacturing
- Agile PLM
