The duties will be that of UPRR maintenance technician.Location:On-site in Lynchburg, VirginiaYour Day to Day as a Uranium Recovery Mechanic Specialist:
- Install, diagnose, test and repair equipment, instruments, and test apparatus.
- Formulate and execute plans for maintenance projects.
- Providing mechanical/electrical support in the form of piping (PVC, CPVC, and Stainless), plumbing, pump, and equipment repair.
- Complete minor HVAC electrical and mechanical repairs.
- Interface with SAP through generation of work orders, entering repair information, and closing work orders.
- Perform electrical repair, preventative maintenance and replacement of equipment in the UPRR processing areas.
- Repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment such as motors, pneumatics, computer controlled systems and production equipment.
- Tig welding of stainless steel.
- 3 Years Industrial maintenance/electrical experience with current tradesman certification in Industrial Electricity, or 2-year associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance/Electiricity with 1 Year of relevant industrial/commercial maintenance and electrical experience.
- Must be willing to enter the BWXT NOG-L apprenticeship program.
- Must be willing to enter and complete basic welding classes.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) clearance.
- HVAC experience is desired.
