Job Specific Responsibilities:
- Collect/verify patient information via patient (or patient’s designee) interview; complete data entry accurately. Inform patients/family members of hospital policies and procedures. Answer patient/family questions.
- Distribute information to appropriate individuals/departments.
Familiarity with medical billing; managed care and other medical insurance is preferred.
Previous office experience or training with exposure to keyboard, computer and other office equipment required, preferably in a medical setting. Previous experience or training in customer service required.
High school diploma or GED required. Associate Degree in business or related field preferred.
