Talascend is currently seeking a Warehouse Supervisor for a contract opportunity with our client in Apex, North Carolina.OverviewAs a warehouse supervisor, you'll lead a dynamic team responsible for the efficient operation of warehouse operations that serve a diverse portfolio of clients. This role combines operational excellence with people leadership, overseeing daily warehouse activities including inventory management, shipping and receiving, and team coordination.Responsibilities
  • Lead and motivate warehouse staff through effective coaching, performance management, and professional development opportunities
  • Oversee inventory control processes, including cycle counts, stock rotation, and accuracy maintenance
  • Oversee shipping, receiving, and distribution activities to meet client service level agreements
  • Implement safety protocols and conduct regular safety training to maintain a secure work environment
  • Collaborate with supply chain and clients to optimize warehouse layouts and workflows
  • Monitor key performance indicators and prepare operational reports for management review
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant warehouse/logistics experience
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in warehouse operations or distribution environments
Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes
  • Proven track record of leading teams and managing multiple priorities in fast-paced environments
  • Must be able to recognize priorities based on client feedback and manage the team to fulfill requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work effectively across diverse teams
  • Forklift certification and knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management software
Preferred Requirements
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical warehouse
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or similar process improvement training
  • Bilingual capabilities to support diverse workforce and client needs
  • Experience with automated warehouse systems and emerging logistics technologies
  • Professional certifications in supply chain management or logistics
