The Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) processes are responsible for maintaining information about technology components and assets, as well as services, that define organization. This Sr Analyst is responsible for managing and operating the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) and works seamlessly with technology owners, service providers, and end users to enhance the value and impact of the configuration data.Responsibilities
- ServiceNow Discovery and Tanium expertise preferred
- Participate in or lead internal projects to improve configuration management processes to maintain accuracy and completeness of the data
- Work with other Service Integration and Management process areas, National IT teams, or local teams and serve as the Configuration Management subject matter expert
- Coordinate with IT Staff to resolve data errors reported by stakeholders
- Continue to improve the CMDB processes and integrations to serve as a strong foundation for the other IT Service Management processes
- Manage incident requests to resolve data issues in a timely manner
- Run weekly and monthly configuration processes to oversee accuracy and integrity of the data in the CMDB
- Evaluate enhancement requests and manage development stories from requirements gathering to deployment
- Maintain ongoing integration processes to normalize, reconcile and merge data into the CMDB from discovery tools
- Run impactful reports for stakeholders to leverage in making of key decisions
- Drive systematic organizational improvements linked to the strategic aims as defined in the System IT Strategy
- Facilitate continuous process improvements aimed at driving value through the client’s perspective
- Leverage insights gained through analysis of operational, technical and performance data and information to drive behavior and process transformation that enable System IT to enhance quality of service, gain greater efficiencies and improve speed of delivery
- Identify and harnessing expertise from within and beyond System IT to build efficient, effective, and sustainable delivery mechanisms and support systems
- Lead efforts to ensure that technology teams are ready to address the evolving needs of the business and to navigate the ever-accelerating changes in the technology landscape
- Service Lifecycle Management intends to consistently use the collective strengths and resources within System IT to facilitate continuous improvement and enable organizational change that support achievement of the strategic aims of the organization.
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
- Bachelor's Degree Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of relevant work experience
- Knowledge of infrastructure and/or application models
- Experience with IT Service Management, Configuration/Asset Management, ServiceNow is preferred
- Experience using Google collaboration tools
- Ability to tailor communications to their appropriate audience and present information in a credible, confident, and influential manner, and communicate in a concise, direct, and purposeful way.
