- The sleep lab technologist will prepare for the arrival of the patient by setting up equipment for the ordered test.
- Interview the patient to determine any sleep issues and explain the testing procedures to the patient.
- Perform ordered test as well as any additional testing that may be needed
- Educates patients about test results, sleep disorders, community support groups, and available resources.
- Prepare, calibrate, repair, and maintain equipment required for testing. Determines and reports needed repairs and replacements.
- Score, interpret, and report results of sleep studies
- Recognizes, documents, and reports all unusual patient response to treatment or testing.
- Consistently follow all department policies and procedures.

- Minimum Required Education: High school diploma or GED.
- BLS
- Preferred: Graduate of an accredited Polysomnography or Respiratory Therapy program. Required Licensure/Certification: Certified as a Polysomnographic Technologist (CPSGT) required within one year of hire and at discretion of hiring manager. Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Minimum Experience: None Required.
