- Build, manage, and grow client relationships in the Columbus and greater Ohio region.
- Support new business opportunities and lead proposal development and project pursuits for control system and automation.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and technical presentations.
- Lead a team of automation engineers and control systems specialists across multiple offices.
- Oversee the design and implementation of SCADA systems, PLC programming, HMI development, and instrumentation integration.
- Provide QA/QC reviews and ensure adherence to BC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Support environmental studies, permitting, and site investigations where automation plays a role.
- Supervise and mentor technical staff, including performance evaluations and career development.
- Manage team workload, hiring, and project assignments.
- Collaborate with other discipline leaders and the National Practice Leader to develop and implement automation standards and best practices.
- Maintain workload tracking tools and manage subcontracted automation resources.
- B.S. in Electrical, Control Systems, Chemical, Mechanical, or related engineering field (M.S. preferred).
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Ohio or ability to obtain within 6 months.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in automation engineering, SCADA systems, and project management in the water/wastewater sector.
- Proven success in client service, business development, and project delivery.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience with technical writing, proposal development, and public presentations.
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
