- Develop project plans – including scope, requirements & resource needs
- Provide key project leadership & design input, executing product development processes effectively
- Perform architectural, system & circuit level electrical design
- Develop verification plans and conduct electrical design verification testing
- Work cross-functionally with Program Management and other engineering disciplines to ensure designs meet system level requirements
- Guide critical product decisions to achieve the “right” balance of product performance, schedule, cost, and quality
- Assess, articulate, and drive to a conclusion the technical options, risks, and trade-offs
- Applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of electronic engineering to the completion of complex and difficult assignments that include cross-functional dependencies.
- Develop and manage relationships with 3rd party suppliers, vendors and external engineering resources
- Coordinate internal resources, external partners, and vendors in developing product solutions
- Prototype & evaluate new technologies
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a combination of work history and education.
- 6-8 years’ experience as an electrical design engineer in the medical device or consumer electronic industry
- Experience performing complex product development, from inception to launch
- Track record of positively managing conflict and building positive relationships
- Experience with medical device development & medical device regulatory requirements is desirable but not required
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent writing, verbal and presentation skills
- Ability to lift 25lbs with or without accommodations
- $97,000.00 - $135,000.00/yr. depending on experience (Compensation will vary based on skills, experience and location; it is not typical to be hired at or above the top of the salary range).
