Our team of experienced finance professionals, change agents, Excel masters and complex problem-solvers collaborate cross-functionally to assess financial strategies, systems and processes in an effort to drive the full-cycle financial health of all our clients.ABOUT THIS ROLEOrchestra is seeking a Senior Client Finance Analyst who will own revenue accounting, financial forecasting, pricing, reporting & analysis and business risk assessment.   • Provide day-to-day financial support to practices and assist with business management at the project and practice level
  • Maintain various financial trackers and reports (month-end reporting, budget trackers, intercompany trackers, financial statements, A/R, staff utilization, burn reports, WIP management, over-service reporting, etc.)
  • Prepare month-end revenue recognition schedules, journal entries and intercompany transfers
  • Support monthly and annual budgeting and re-forecasting processes
  • Proactively document, follow up on and in a timely fashion close out any revenue, budgeting, billing, invoicing, or payment issues that pertain to client(s)
  • Operate as Subject Matter Expert on timekeeping system and its related policies and procedures, leading employee trainings
  • Own the AR function with billing supervisor - pursue timely collection with internal follow-ups
  • Partner with practices to ensure monthly financial schedule is followed
  • Open and manage jobs in coordination with account teams
  • Monitor jobs, estimates, POs and rate cards to ensure accuracy as well as project activity
  • Serve as a reliable and forward-thinking business analytics resource and provide oversight to assigned practices
  • Lead and partake in financial meetings with internal teams
  • Participate in any and all audit initiatives and ad hoc projects as needed
Essential skills:
  • 3-5 years of experience in client finance or FP&A
  • Experience in NetSuite or similar accounting/ERP packages (SAP, Anaplan, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.)
  • Strong time management skills including the ability to prioritize multiple deadlines and effectively manage workload
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills (lookups, pivots, dashboards, advanced formulas, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency and understanding of GAAP, accruals and revenue accounting
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively work and communicate with finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Able to streamline tasks to ensure accuracy and take “ownership-mentality” in work/clients/practices
Preferred skills:
  • Agency or client services experience (advertising, PR, communications, media or legal)
  • Working knowledge of media finance and operations
