- Clinical Practice: Provides safe care in a systemic way to include the assessment and overall care management of a specified patient population under the supervision of an Emergency Physician. Exercises independent judgment in the assessment, diagnosis and initiation of medical processes and procedures in line with scope of practice as NP or PA. Has specialized knowledge and skill on matters of emergency care, pharmacology and education.

- Primary Responsibility to assess and Manage Emergency Severity Index level 3 patients in the emergency department that do not require monitoring as well as managing level 4 and 5 patients in the emergency department and the urgent care department as needed.
- 1.0 FTE which is 12 shifts per month. The shift time is 9:00am – 9:00pm.
- EPIC EMR.
- Physician and APP emergency medicine support as well as APP urgent care support.
- Progressive clinical experience.
- Master’s degree in advanced practice nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Master's or Doctorate Degree as an Advanced Practice or Graduate of an accredited school of Physician Assistant studies with a Master's or Doctorate Degree.
- Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner license from MN Board of Nursing. Physician Assistant studies certification.
- Clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in a Primary Care or Urgent Care setting preferred.
- Doctorate degree in advanced practice nursing or Physician Assistant studies.
