- Oversees and executes day-to-day operations for department ensuring direct reports are following policies and procedures related to employee safety and food/feed safety.
- Partners with Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory experts to implement the most effective approach for complying with corporate safety policies and procedures.
- Monitors production outcomes, quantity, and quality to ensure customer and food safety requirements are within specifications while providing recommendations for continuous improvements.
- Participate and lead process improvement initiatives including Centerlining, Preventative Maintenance, Pristine, 5S and ELEMEDS (Every Load, Every Mill, Every Day Safely).
- Partners with local plant management to develop approaches for meeting/tracking efficiency standards (scorecard and metrics control, total cost of maintenance, monthly review of compliance audits, etc.).
- Develops planning for future production workforce needs and participates in selection of employees.
- Perform grain inventory and provide corrective actions/investigations to solve for any inventory variance outside of variance range in the digital vs. physical count.
- Oversees grain and bin management as well as blending within the specs set forth by the quality team.
- Responsible for workforce engagement, recognition as well as development and coaching to hourly team members.
- Bachelor’s degree or High school diploma/GED equivalent with 4 years of production experience.
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience having leadership responsibilities in an elevator or industrial environment (milling, agricultural, food production, or equivalent).
- Demonstrated understanding of safety hazards and protocols.
- Understanding of computerized maintenance management systems.
- 2+ years in a leadership role within an elevator.
- Knowledge of maintaining, operating, and troubleshooting cleaning, and conveying systems.
- Training in LEAN, Six Sigma, or other manufacturing and warehousing optimization processes.
- Reliability centered maintenance training around packaging equipment best practices.
- Ability to perform work at a computer and other administrative/managerial tasks.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) as is required by the operating areas (i.e. safety glasses, protective footwear, hard hat, hearing protection and, at times, a respirator).
- Ability to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
- Hot/Cold temperatures (inclement weather).
- Indoor/Outdoor environment.
- Dusty environment (to include Wheat/Gluten allergens).
- Noisy environment.
- Frequent moving/vibration/ or other motion of equipment/processes.
- Elevated Places.

- Working in confined or elevated places.
- Must be able to read, interpret instruction and technology and communicate effectively in English.
- Must be willing to collaborate with your team including long days (days, evenings, and nights) as well as weekends or holiday work.
- Must be authorized to work in the Unites states without sponsorship now and in the future.
