Under the Facilities Manager's direction, the custodian is primarily responsible for cleaning and preparing the farm buildings for educational and public use. The custodian is responsible for sweeping, dusting, moping, vacuuming, stripping and waxing floors on a regular basis. Remove trash and recyclable materials. Clean restroom facilities daily; supply with sufficient paper products. Wash walls, windows and sills on a regular basis. Shovel snow from stairs/walks to building entrances; keep entrances clean from debris. Unlock bathrooms in the morningRequired Qualifications:
  • At least 18 years of age to comply with NYS Department of Labor regulations.
  • Able to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Two or more years of related work experience.
