Posting TextLOCATION: Rocker Shop (University Bookstore)STARTING HOURLY RATE: $22.98 + hourly, depending upon education and experience, GHPosition Purpose: Duties include performing retail duties including cashiering, cleaning, stocking shelves, processing internet orders, building displays, providing customer service; answering the primary phone line; creating signs and promotional materials; placing products available for resale on the store website; maintain accurate store information; assisting with office paperwork including processing invoices, maintain store records and documents; entering information to initiate employment process for student employees and temps; and other duties as assigned.Knowledge of:
- English usage and types of written communications;
- Retail Environment
- Various browsers
- Multiple software products
- Multiple media platforms
- organize and prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, coordinate production schedules, understand and relay instructions and meet deadlines;
- communicate information clearly and concisely in person and/or on the telephone, exercising tact, patience and professional demeanor;
- establish and maintain effective and cooperative working relationships;
- lift and carry heavy boxes (up to approximately 50 lbs);
- stand for extended periods of time during peak selling periods;
- use a computer (MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite);
- provide outstanding customer service.
